Marissa is a familiar face, or rather fin, in the waters around New Quay and has been seen regularly throughout the summer seasons since she was first photographed by researchers at the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre in 2005. She is recognised by the cross-hatched tooth rake markings at the top of her dorsal fin, which help us to keep track of her. In 2005 she was seen with her female calf, Cleo (181) and in the spring/summer season of 2010 she was often seen in the company of male animals including Cadfael (032). In July 2013 she was seen with a new calf.
